Everyone and everything on Kai's Farm, from the 300 year old oak trees to the newest baby birds being born in their nests, was deeply saddened to learn that a dear family friend, Olive Slagowski, passed away this week.
We will all remember Olive as a courageous defender of the back porch, and the Mommy to both Kitty and Cat.
Rest quietly old friend, and know that Kai's Farm misses you.

What??? What is this little pink dog doing??

Bomma took some pictures of a herd of Native American Turkeys down by the jungle. You can tell they are Native American Turkeys because of all the arrows.

Oh, Snap!! I just walked out the front door of the old farm house, and what did I see in the front yard? A gi-normous pink, green blue purple and red turkey. It was wearing work boots and a baseball cap and carrying an umbrella (it's been raining pretty hard today). Well, I grabbed the camera and snapped this picture before the turkey hopped off the fire hydrant and drove Bomma's Jeep down toward the store. Man! This is very exciting........................!!

We had to get the boot police involved with case. Someone has apparently stolen Jak's other Frog Boot, and we need it back. If you have any information as to the whereabouts of the missing boot -- known as "Lefty"-- contact the Frog Police nearest to you.

We don't waste anything on the farm. Kelan's working man boots are now a flower pot. Only one of Jak's frog boots was available, so we filled it up with flowers too.
